The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China (Chinese Embassy), in cooperation with NYC, will be launching the “China-Philippines Youth Friendship Tour” on December 3-9, 2019 in Beijing and Sichuan Province, China.

The 7-day all-expense paid visit to China is aimed at promoting friendship, mutual understanding among its participants and enhancing youth exchanges between China and the Philippines.  This in-depth trip to Beijing and Sichuan Province will focus on China’s development and achievements on the past seven decades as well as China’s cultural richness.

The NYC will be sending fifteen (15) youth leaders to this program.

  • Avoid sending multiple application attempts.

Qualifications of Participants:

  • Filipino citizen (single and residing in the Philippines)
  • 18-35 years old
  • Philippine passport holder (valid until June 20, 2020)
  • Preferably a youth leader in areas of politics, enterprises, culture,  education, and media
  • Must be able to proficiently communicate in English
  • Be able to attend the pre-departure briefing on December 2, 2019 (tentatively) at the NYC Central Office in Quezon City

  • Organizer will shoulder the roundtrip international plane fare, accommodations, local transportation in China
  • Organizer will shoulder the visa application fee
  • Participants will shoulder their local transportation and accommodation during the pre-departure orientation in Quezon City and incidental expenses while en route to China

The following are automatically disqualified:

  • Participants of NYC-coordinated international programs from December 9, 2014 – present whose airfare, meals, and accommodation were paid by the organizer; and
  • Participants of NYC-coordinated international programs from December 9, 2016 – present whose airfare was shouldered by the participants and whose accommodation and meals were paid by the organizer.
  • Previous NYC International Programs Beneficiaries who have not submitted or accomplished the required post-program documents or volunteer work.
