The India Foundation, in collaboration with Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India (MEA) and ASEAN Foundation, are organizing the 4th ASEAN-India Youth Summit on 12-16 February 2023 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. With the theme “Strengthening ASEAN-India Partnership in the Indo- Pacific”, the summit aims to provide a platform for youth leaders of both India and ASEAN to engage with each other and to develop a resilient and symbiotic relationship between countries.

The NYC will be nominating 5 Filipino youth delegates to the program.

Qualifications of Youth Delegates:

  • Fully vaccinated (with 1st and 2nd dose) Filipino citizen currently residing in the Philippines;
  • 21-35 years old ;
  • The participants must come from Political Parties, Think Tanks, Media and Cultural Organizations (as specified by the organizer);
  • Has a good command of written and spoken English;
  • With valid Philippine passport (valid until August 16, 2023)
  • Must be able to attend & participate during the whole duration of the program in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.
  • Must be able to attend the pre-departure orientation in NYC Central Office, Quezon City a day before scheduled departure.
  • Must be willing to process their own visa if selected;
  • Must be willing to be an NYC volunteer and to comply with post-program activities

Requirements:

  • Fill up the NYC International Programs’ Online Application Form via google form completely and accurately (avoid duplicate application)
  • Scanned copy of passport valid until August 16, 2023 (upload via google form)
  • Updated Curriculum Vitae (upload via google form)
  • Certification or proof that you are a member of any of the following: Political Parties, Think Tanks, Media or Cultural Organizations

Expenses:

  • The organizer shall shoulder the roundtrip economy airfare and accommodation for the whole duration of the program in India.
  • Delegates shall shoulder their travel expenses from their residence (province) to NAIA and back, as well as their accommodation in Quezon City for the pre-departure briefing in NYC Central Office.
  • Delegates shall shoulder fees related to the processing of their own visa and other incidental expenses such as travel insurance, medical expenses, and other travel-related costs.

The following are automatically disqualified:

  • Participants of NYC-coordinated international programs from February 16, 2018 until the present whose airfare, accommodation, and meals were paid for by the organizer;
  • Participants of NYC-coordinated international programs from February 16, 2020 until the present whose airfare was shouldered by the participants and whose accommodation and meals were paid for by the organizer;
  • NYC International Programs Beneficiaries who have not completed their volunteer work hours.
  • Previous NYC International Programs Beneficiaries who have not submitted or accomplished the required post-program obligations or volunteer work.
  • Incomplete requirements; follow-up requirements would not be entertained once passed deadline.
