Commissioner Representing Luzon  

 

Georgina Nava devotes her career life to public service and governance. She was most recently appointed by President Benigno Aquino III as Commissioner Representing Luzon at the National Youth Commission (NYC). Her immediate preceding job was acting as the head of Senator Francis Pangilinan’s Political Action and Special Projects Unit wherein she ensured the delivery of efficient and reliable frontline services to Filipino constituents, and coordinated with multi-sectoral stakeholders in helping her principal craft a legislative agenda centered on accountable government, a revitalized judicial system, the promotion of human rights, the provision of livable communities and a strengthened Filipino family.


She recently acted as the national coordinator and lead secretariat of the Rock the Vote Roadtrip to Change Caravan (and its predecessor, the Register and Vote campaign), national secretariat and founding member of Yo! Noy (Youth for Noy), national coordinator of the SLAMAT LORRRD senatorial campaign and was one of the founding members of Pinoy

Power. She is also a Director of the TAYO (Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations) Awards Foundation.


Her extensive experience in working for the empowerment of the youth and youth causes includes attending and facilitating various seminars and trainings in the Philippine and abroad, and dedicating a good portion of her career to the Philippine’s National Youth Commission, serving as Consultant, Executive Assistant, and Presidential Staff Officer before joining the Senator Pangilinan‘s Office.  She graduated with a degree in Journalism from the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas.


A versatile individual, Ms. Nava also shines in hosting and managing events, audio-visual production, basic photography and desktop publishing.
